Be careful how long you stare at a computer screen

Details On How Working Too Long On The Computer Affects Your Eyesight

Computers these days are an absolute necessity. It seems that practically everyone in the developed world these days has to use a computer at least once daily. With that being said, it makes perfect sense why computers have gone on to dominate the modern world. Everything from the internet to practically all forms of modern communication such as emails have been tailor made for use with computers. Hence, there are currently millions upon millions of men and women all over the world spending hours upon hours of their day staring at a computer screen. Thus, this article will present details on how working too long on the computer can affects your eyesight.

Due to the high prevalence of computers these days, and the fact that many working men and women stare into a computer for the majority of their day, doctors and scientists are questioning the health consequences of computer use. This is especially true when it comes to extended computer use in a consistent pattern, such as for use for daily work. Lots of researchers have found that prolonged exposure and concentrate on a computer screen can affect the eyesight of the user.

Computers are able to be utilized through the visual medium of a computer screen. People who use computers for leisure or business often stare into the computer screen for eyes on end. When this happens, the eyesight of the user is affected. The eyesight if affected in a number of different ways. One of the main ways that the eyesight is affected is that the eyes become tired of concentrating on one specific object for an extended period of time. Indeed, staring at a screen for hours on end can really put a strain on the eyes, seeing as the eyes were made to be constantly switching to and from a wide number of different objects, not being focused on one screen for such a long time.

Eye strain from computers is experienced pretty much by everyone that uses a computer over a few hours each and everyday. Although the eye strain experienced hasn’t been proven to be essentially detrimental in the long term, it can make it difficult for the person with eye strain to concentrate. Once the eyes are tired of focusing in one object, they begin to lose their ability to concentrate and focus until they are able to be rested through such things as sleep. This means that people who use a computer for a long period will find that they wonít be able to concentrate on small details on the computer or perhaps continue to do work as their eyes wonít be able to focus.

A great way to combat eye fatigue is to get glasses that have special lenses in them that block the light that is being emitted from the computer, which causes eye strain. These glasses are readily available and will allow a person to concentrate while using the computer for a longer period of time than normal.

Thus, this concludes this short article on how using computers for an extended period can affect eyesight. Individuals that find that their eyesight is being affected from using a computer for too long should get special glasses made for computer use as well as take regular breaks from looking at a computer.

You can find pretty much anything in Google. After all, it’s the number one search engine out there…by far. Google has gotten so good at figuring out what you’re looking for that it even finishes your search query for you (with sometimes hilarious results). It’s true, Google is the number one place to go for online searches. However, just because it’s the most popular search engine out there, doesn’t mean you are guaranteed to find what you’re looking for. Sometimes, you have to play with Google a little bit to find that specific cat video or that elusive fail gif. Professional Googlers know what to do to find such rarities, but do you? Well, if you don’t you’re about to. Whether you’re a level expert googler or just a soccer mom trying to figure out how to get to practice on time these are 25 Easy Google Tips And Tricks To Help You Find Exactly What You’re Looking For.

Find what you’re looking for with these easy tips:

Ok so we’ll start with the obvious (you’d be surprised!). Placing a phrase in quotation marks will search for exactly that phrase. This means the word order and spacing will be preserved.

Use asterisks as placeholders. This is especially useful if you’re searching for a phrase but can’t remember some of the words.

Exclude terms by place a hyphen directly in front of them

To only search for GIFs, just click on “Search Tools” while you are in Google Image Search. Now select “Type” and choose “Animated”.

Use two periods to set a range, for example when searching for a certain price.

To only get results from a specific website preface your search with “site:put-name-of-site-here.com”. Then leave a space and put what you are searching for.

In the same way you can search related sites by replacing “site:” with “related:”

If you ever need to calculate a tip quickly just type “tip” followed by the amount you are trying to tip on

info:website (website being the site’s URL) will print out everything Google can tell you about that site

By using the “OR” operator you can search for pages that might use one of several words

If you need to figure out what there is to do around town just type “attractions” followed by where you are

and more…

Treat customers like family and stay in touch

Don’t Negate Customer Service And Social Media In Building Your Brand

In today’s world, it’s impossible to make it without being online. There was a time in which the online world simply wasn’t important. It was a thing a business could dabble in, put up a website and call it a day. These days, however, it’s a vitally important source of customers and business.

To that end, if you’re going to use the internet for business, you also need to use social media. There are a plethora of using social media websites that people tend to use, everything from Facebook to Twitter, as well as Tumblr and Instagram. If you’re going to make it in the business world, you need to know how to use them. But using them isn’t enough. It’s simply not good enough to be able to have social media accounts. You also have to know how to use them for customer service.

Traditional customer service is a one on one situation. A customer contacts your business, and explains a problem. Your business then deals with that problem as best it can. Sometimes the customer is happy, sometimes the customer is unhappy, but either way, it’s between you and the customer. In today’s social media world, however, customer service is open for everyone to see. A customer who’s had a bad experience might post about their experience to all manner of different social media outlets, which means the number of people who can see how you handle a situation can be in the millions.

Here is a great educational video that talks about 7 essential customer service tips.

In order to deal with this, you need to ensure you have people who are trained in social media customer service. It can be tempting to simply go onto social media outlets and explain your side of the story. It can be tempting to point out that the customer is wrong, or that they’re lying when they talk about the situation. However, more often than not, that tends to backfire. People tend to want to root for the underdog, and businesses are always seen as the evil overlords.

Thus, having someone who knows how to navigate social media is vital. Social media based customer service is often as much a matter of proper marketing as it is customer service at all. It’s not just making one particular person happy. It’s about making sure that everyone can see your company making that customer happy, or at least giving it a genuinely reasonable try. In many cases, even if you can’t solve the specific customer’s problem, you can make your company look good by how you respond to it on social media.

If you’re a small business, don’t ignore how important social media is. It’s a great way to drum up customers and business. Even if you think no one but local people will ever frequent your business, it’s amazing how much information can be disseminated through social media. When people see how your company responds to customer service problems via social media, they’ll have a better idea of whether or not they want to give you their business.
